This Italian varietal is very food friendly and displays lots of concentrated red fruits. Cherry liqueur, cocoa and exotic spices are abundant on the nose, while the palate is very lush, bursting of vibrant cherries and a hint of black licorice leading to a silky-smooth finish.

Hand harvested from our estate vineyard at optimal ripeness, our 2 rows of Dolcetto don’t produce very much. After destemming but no crushing, we sent the grapes to a small one-ton fermenter where our extraction was a bit more aggressive early on to gain texture and mouthfeel, then gentle towards the end of alcoholic fermentation. The wine was aged in 2-3-year-old oak to allow the bright fruits and concentrated flavors to be showcased in the wine. Overall, the wine aged for 19 months in French Oak.
